It's still very early in the Ben Johnson era, but the Chicago Bears head coach has already put a plethora of stamps on this brand-new offense.

Quarterback Caleb Williams was seen in a recent minicamp video doing something he has yet to do as a pro and only did one time in college.

It sure looks like Johnson is preparing Williams for a trick play involving the quarterback running a route and catching a pass.

What's even more surprising than seeing Williams running the route and catching the football is the manner in which he hauls it in.

The catch actually made it look like he had done that once or twice. It appeared to be a textbook grab, and from a quarterback! Things are about to get real fun in Chicago, folks.

Caleb Williams catching a pass is only the tip of the iceberg for Ben Johnson's offense

If Williams were to pull off this feat in a regular season game, it would be something he has yet to do as a pro and only did once in college. He was not used on any such trick play as a rookie and was targeted once at USC (with one reception for 15 yards).

This is only the beginning, though. The Bears' offensive linemen were also seen running routes and catching passes in this very same practice

It is no surprise, but it's certainly something different for Bears fans. We saw Johnson pull off plenty of shenanigans while with the Detroit Lions, including a fan favorite like offensive lineman Dan Skipper being used in creative ways and Jared Goff catching a touchdown pass yesterday.

It truly feels like an alternate universe going from the likes of Shane Waldron to Johnson in the span of just one year.

The possibilities for this Bears offensive group are limitless with more talent at the playmaker positions than this team has seen in a very long time.

In other words? Buckle up.
