Chicago Bears training camp is rolling strong with five practices down and still another four weeks to go before the final roster cutdown.

The Bears' offense is rolling, but the defense is going through some scary injuries. With multiple guys out, that is going to have a profound effect on who makes the 53-man roster.

There are still about four weeks before the final roster decisions have to be made, but it is up in the air who will make the cut. Here is a guess on how the 53-man roster could look after one week of work at camp.

Chicago Bears' 53-man roster projection after first week of training camp

QB - Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum

Bagent is having a great camp so far, making his chances of being QB2 very high. Keenum should be able to beat out the undrafted rookie Miller Moss with ease, so no big changes will be made to the QB room.

RB - D'Andre Swift, Kyle Monangai, Salmon Ahmed

With Monangai dealing with his soft-tissue injury, Ahmed has made the most of his opportunity and looks to be the clear RB3 at the moment. Roschon Johnson could still fight for that spot, but it doesn't look good for the longtime Bears back.

WR - Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, Kalif Raymond, Zavion Thomas, Jahdae Walker

It's become pretty clear that the top five receivers are a lock, with questions about whether Scotty Miller could make it. Otherwise, these should be the five that get in.

TE - Colston Loveland, Cole Kmet, Sam Roush

There are really no surprises at tight end. Maybe they hold four, but these three are 100% a lock to make the roster.

OL - Braxton Jones, Joe Thuney, Garrett Bradbury, Jonah Jackson, Darnell Wright, Logan Jones, Theo Benedet, Luke Newman, Jordan McFadden, Kiran Amegadjie

The left tackle position is the one to watch between Jones, Amegadjie, and Jedrick Wills Jr. It appears that Amegadjie has gotten more first-team reps in camp, so he has the advantage over Wills for the moment.

DL - Montez Sweat, Austin Booker, Gervon Dexter, Grady Jarrett, Dayo Odeyingbo, Daniel Hardy, Neville Gallimore, Kentavius Street, Shemar Turner

The Bears would love to have Turner back in practice at some point, but it is unclear when he will be ready. Otherwise, rookie Jordan van den Berg could challenge for the final roster spot on the defensive line.

LB - Devin Bush, T.J. Edwards, D’Marco Jackson, Ruben Hyppolite II, Jack Sanborn, Keyshaun Elliott

It feels like Sanborn and Noah Sewell are battling for that final spot on the roster. That's the position battle to watch among the linebackers.

CB - Jaylon Johnson, Tyrique Stevenson, Kyler Gordon, Josh Blackwell, Malik Muhammad, Jaylon Jones

A lot of what happens at cornerback really depends on Gordon and whether he returns from his soft-tissue injury. If he doesn't by Week 1, the Bears will have to carry six cornerbacks.

S - Coby Bryant, Dillon Thieneman, Cam Lewis, Elijah Hicks, Gervarrius Owens

The safety position is a revolving door at this point, with Bryant now out for eight to 10 weeks and Hicks on the PUP. This could change completely in the next few weeks, but Thieneman and Lewis look to be the starters for now.

Special Teams - Cairo Santos, Tory Taylor, Luke Elkin

At long snapper, it's anyone's guess who will come out on top. It's always safe to pick the veteran to win the job, though, so Elkin gets the edge.
