While the Chicago Bears fan base is feeling the high of the NFC Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers, the offense is off to another slow start. There is still a problem with the offense getting off to another slow start.
This one was worse than the other slow starts as the Bears were down 21-3 at halftime to the Packers. The Bears' offense only had 122 yards, and that first half included quarterback Caleb Williams throwing an interception and two failed fourth-down conversions on the last two drives of the half for them.
Despite the offense's struggles in the first half and the Bears' slow start in the third quarter, Bears head coach Ben Johnson had a different take on Williams' performance throughout the game. Bears fans might be surprised to see what Johnson had to say.
“I actually thought he (Caleb Williams) played well for the 60 minutes," Johnson said via CHGO. "We all want to start faster.”
Ben Johnson liked how Caleb Williams played in the Packers game
Accuracy remains a major problem for Williams, as he completed only 50% of his passes in the win. At this point in the season, the Bears' fan base has to just accept that this won't be fixed this season, and something Williams is going to have to address in the offseason.
Now, for Williams' fourth quarter, though, that was a masterful performance from the second-year quarterback. He threw two touchdowns and made multiple incredible plays in the game. The fourth down, when he threw a pass off his back foot and dropped the ball in Rome Odunze's hands with ease down the field, was a perfect example of the incredible passes Williams can make.
Williams finished the game completing 24 of 48 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns to two interceptions, adding another 20 yards on the ground. He helped the Bears score an incredible 25 points in the fourth quarter to win the game.

It wasn't a perfect performance by the offense, and everyone wants the unit to get off to a faster start so they don't have to stress out, but the unit can be trusted to get the job done. They need to make sure, though, going into their NFC Divisional Round showdown with the Los Angeles Rams, that they don't do that again, as their luck might end soon enough.
