In the Wild Card round of the playoffs, the Chicago Bears did what they’ve been doing all season: pull off a heart-racing comeback win.

Thanks to some late-game theatrics from Caleb Williams and company, the Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-27. That led to one of the most famous Packers fans, Lil Wayne, commenting on Williams’ nail polish in an NSFW post, expressing his disappointment over Green Bay’s heartbreaking loss.

Williams, who has quickly proved he thrives on pettiness, responded to the comment by posting a highlight video from the Bears’ win, with Lil Wayne’s hit song Mr. Carter playing over the highlights. Now, three days later, Wayne is sending another message to Williams, but a much more respectful one this time.

Lil Wayne praises Caleb Williams after Bears defeat Packers

The legendary rapper told the Bears quarterback not to mind him, seemingly referencing his first post. He emphasized that he’s just a diehard Green Bay fan and was hurt because Williams has been cooking them. Wayne couldn’t deny that, so he gave some well-earned praise to the young quarterback before making it clear that his allegiances will always be with the Packers.

Williams, taking everything in stride, replied to this most recent message, letting Lil Wayne know that it’s all love. The young quarterback is 2-2 against Green Bay in the regular season and is now 1-0 against the rival in the postseason. The Bears have made it clear they prefer to be the villain in the Packers’ story, so they’re certainly fine with whatever jabs come with that.

Now, Chicago is preparing for another home playoff game, but this time it will be against the Los Angeles Rams. The Bears didn't play against the 12-5 Rams in the regular season, and many analysts are already predicting Los Angeles will run away with the game.

With Matthew Stafford leading an extremely productive offense against a vulnerable Bears defense, everyone is wondering if Chicago will score enough points to keep up. Ultimately, Sunday’s game will be another opportunity for Williams and the Bears to win over more people.
