The NFL world is buzzing after a stunning turn of events saw the Baltimore Ravens pull out of the Maxx Crosby trade on Tuesday night, and now, the Chicago Bears have their opportunity to do something massive.

In case anyone reading is just catching up, the Ravens decided to pull the plug on the Crosby trade and used the reasoning of a failed physical to do so. The aftermath of Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta's decision has created a firestorm of reports, opinions, and assumptions that may never lead to a concrete truth.

What we do know, though, is that Crosby is back with the Las Vegas Raiders, for now.

For Bears fans wanting Ryan Poles to get in on potentially trading for Crosby again, now, comes some less-than-ideal news. Sports Illustrated's NFL insider, Albert Breer, offered up his latest intel and it isn't the greatest news for potential trade suitors like Chicago:

"All this is difficult for everyone. The Raiders will work through different scenarios—some teams called last night, but Vegas isn't going to trade Crosby on a discount. And keeping him with a revamped crew around him isn't the worst idea in the world."

The Chicago Bears may not be able to get Maxx Crosby at a discount, or even at all

Upon first glance, after the news came out about Crosby heading back to Vegas, one might have thought another team could swoop in and get him for less than what the Ravens initially paid -- two first-round picks.

If the reasoning was truly legitimate, then sure, plenty of teams might now be worried about Crosby's medicals.

But, if anyone thought Crosby was going to pass a physical with flying colors, two months after meniscus surgery, that's just a flat-out silly notion. It was never going to happen. Multiple reports have stated that teams involved in the Crosby saga already knew he wasn't going to be fully healthy until the summer.

If that wasn't enough reason to believe the Bears can't get a slight discount on Crosby, Breer's report casts even more doubt. The Raiders apparently aren't going to trade him away on a discount, but more importantly here, they could also choose to keep him now.

What an absurd scenario that would be. Keeping Crosby in Las Vegas, after the team spent all that money on free agents and are set to land a franchise quarterback in Fernando Mendoza ... it doesn't sound that crazy after all.

Of course, anything can happen at this point. So, buckle up, Bears fans.
