The Marvel Universe is filled with characters who have unique abilities and incredible strength, and Chicago Bears fans might be seeing it on their own team.
One of the characters who is known for incredible strength, and is regarded as one of the most formidable beings in the Marvel Universe is the Juggernaut. Famously known for being an enemy of the X-Men, the Juggernaut's power is his calling card.
To connect this to the Bears, defensive end Austin Booker has been working out with the Juggernaut. Well, the actor who portrayed the Marvel character in the film “Deadpool & Wolverine” is Aaron W. Reed.
Austin Booker putting in the work during the offseason
There are a select few people in the world that I would trust more than Reed to provide a spot on the bench press.
But for Booker, this is an important season for the third-year player out of Kansas. In the 2025 season, the 6-foot-6, 245-pound edge rusher finished with 45 total pressures and 4.5 sacks. Against the Green Bay Packers in the wild card, Booker ended with five total pressures and one sack.
Given the Bears’ struggles applying pressure to the quarterback last season, Booker can establish himself as a reliable pass rusher that this team desperately needs.
One way that Booker can earn the trust of defensive coordinator Dennis Allen is by proving he can set the edge and contain the run. That will be one of the quickest ways to get more reps and create a consistent role on the defense.
Since the Week 14 matchup against the Packers, Booker saw his snaps increase, and he capitalized on his increased opportunities. From that first matchup against Green Bay, Booker registered 26 of his 35 total pressures. He also posted a season-high 81.4 run defense grade in the Divisional Round against the Los Angeles Rams.
