Bears fans are not buying what Kevin Warren is selling with new stadium move

Okay we'll see about that.

Chicago Bears fans are still feeling some kind of way about the potential of their new stadium being located in Hammond, Indiana.

After the Illinois House and Senate cancelled a meeting to discuss a new bill that would help build the Bears' new stadium in the state and in Arlington Heights, the team and Indiana Governor Mike Braun released statements saying the two sides are working together on their new dome stadium. While nothing is official, it feels as though the Indiana location for the stadium has gained significant momentum over the last week.

Bears team president Kevin Warren spoke with Chicago Business's Danny Eckler about the new stadium. According to Warren, there appears to be progress with the location being in Illinois.

“We continue to work with Illinois’ leadership and appreciate the progress being made.”

Can Bears fans actually believe what Kevin Warren is saying?

Warren appears to be echoing what Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has been saying, with both sides still working together. Pritzker has reportedly been "pretty motivated" to get something done but has received pushback from the Illinois House and Senate.

At this point, Bears fans have no idea how to feel, as there are different sides to the argument over whether they should care. On one end, Hammond is technically closer to Chicago than Arlington Heights, but the Bears should stay in the state they have been in for over a century. Some would argue that the Washington Commanders, New York Jets, and Giants all play outside of the state they are supposed to be in, with other teams like the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, and Chargers not playing in their cities either.

Fans in Chicago are at a breaking point to not know who to believe or what is going to happen. As much as everyone would love for this to be over, it may be far from it.

The real question is whether Bears fans should care anymore, since their voices aren't even being heard: the Bears, the state of Indiana, and the state of Illinois are just in a war for the stadium, with the fans' concerns ignored.
