Chicago Bears fans are eagerly awaiting cornerback Jaylon Johnson to return to his original form from 2023 and 2024, with OTAs being the first indicator of that.

The first couple of weeks of OTAs have been kind of quiet for Johnson, but all signs seem to be pointing in the right direction at least. It's all about how he will close out before being gone for over a month prior to training camp.

Well, Johnson kicked the week off the right way as he reportedly had two interceptions. The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs reported that one of them came to an end the first-team offense drive in the two-minute drill.

Prior to the 2025 season, Johnson made back-to-back Pro Bowls with the Bears and was considered a top 10 cornerback in the NFL. Last year was tough on him: he missed two months with a groin core muscle injury, and once he got back, he was good but just not the same guy.

It appears as though Johnson is taking a step in the right direction to play as a guy Bears fans know so well. He was able to pick off one of the more careful quarterbacks in the NFL, Caleb Williams, so that's got to say a lot about where he is in his return.

The Bears will need Johnson to be fully back given their current cornerback situation. After losing Nahshon Wright and C.J. Gardner-Johnson to free agency, Kyler Gordon has still been dealing with his own injury from last year, and Tyrique Stevenson just got hurt in OTAs.

This is a big season for Johnson as he needs to prove himself to be the Pro Bowler Bears fans have grown to love. So far, it's looking pretty good for him.
