Fantasy football managers have been salivating over this Chicago Bears offense now that it's in Year 2 under Ben Johnson.
Caleb Williams is stepping into a pivotal season, and many believe he is going to take a gigantic step now that he is fully immersed in Johnson's offense. If he does, then people will be fighting over pieces of this offense in the fantasy world.
Colston Loveland very well could finish as the TE1. Luther Burden III has a hype train that might never stop until he finishes the season as a WR1. There's also a world where he and Rome Odunze are both must-have fantasy starters and wind up becoming legitimate top-end WR2/low-end WR1 options.
As training camp and the preseason get into full force, we'll provide the latest updates that every fantasy manager has to have when it comes to these Bears.
Note: This story will be updated regularly throughout the Chicago Bears' training camp and preseason.
Latest Fantasy Football updates for the Bears: News, injuries and position battles
Luther Burden III spotted limping back to locker room -- 8/8
After "landing awkwardly" during a one-on-one rep against cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, Burden walked away gingerly (h/t Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times).
Please be okay, Luther. His status bears monitoring. Without him, Rome Odunze becomes the clear-cut WR1 of the Bears' dynamic offense.
D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai headed for near-even usage? -- 8/7
In his first mailbag of 2026, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune said "something like a 55-45 split seems about right for a projection."
It's just one columnist's opinion, yet Biggs is a trustworthy source. If true, both Swift and Monangai should be solid fantasy producers, though they cannibalize each other's upside.
ESPN's Ben Solak surprised by Sam Roush's first-team usage -- 8/4
Roush spent "a lot more" time with the starters than expected. Solak believes the tight end "might push [for] 400 [snaps]" as a rookie.
It's possible, if not likely, that Chicago leans into 13 personnel (three TEs) sets this season. If not, Roush's in-line blocking chops figure to come at the expense of veteran Cole Kmet. Colston Loveland, who Solak tabbed "the sun of the Bears' solar system of receivers," remains a locked-in top-three option at the position in fantasy drafts.
Kalif Raymond leading the way for Bears' WR3 -- 8/4
Raymond's speed has been on full display as he caught a deep pass with Jaylon Johnson in coverage, on Monday. Raymond's momentum continues to grow as the Bears' WR3.
Wheels up for Bears' already dangerous rushing unit -- 8/3
A Bears squad that finished third in yards per attempt (4.9) and game (144.5) in 2025 somehow looks even better, per Usayd Koshul of BearReport.
If true, give us all the D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai stock. Both running backs are coming off impressive campaigns and appear set up to build on their momentum.
Luther Burden III is 'clear front-runner' for Bears' WR1? -- 8/3
A growing connection with the QBs has been evident, as has the synergy between Burden and the Bears' coaches, according to Usayd Koshul of BearReport.
There cannot be much more buzz surrounding Burden, who's currently ranked as a fringe top-24 fantasy receiver in point-per-reception (PPR) formats. His price tag is justifiable right now. At this rate, however, it may get exorbitant to the point that he's a bad value and fellow Chicago wideout Rome Odunze is a sneaky bargain.
Kyle Monangai returned to practice in limited capacity -- 8/3
While Monangai didn't take any 11-on-11 reps, it was good to see him get "worked back into" action (h/t Dan Wiederer of The Athletic). He sat out four consecutive practices with a soft-tissue injury.
Slowly but surely, Monangai is getting up to speed, so it's business as usual for fantasy managers. Soon enough, he and fellow Bears running back D'Andre Swift will find themselves in a near-even timeshare again. They profile as upside RB2s and RB3s, respectively, especially in a potent rushing attack and offense on the rise (Lampert).
Zavion Thomas has been a busy man -- 8/2
The big theme with Thomas is that the Bears are throwing a lot at him.
"The Bears have the rookie receiver working with the ones and twos while also taking reps as a kickoff return man and a punt return man," said Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune.
In deeper leagues or dynasty formats, Thomas could be worth watching as the Bears' potential WR3.
Colston Loveland looks 'uncoverable' so far -- 8/1
Per Hoge and Jahns, Colston Loveland looks "uncoverable." He has flat-out dominated camp so far and looks every bit of a top-5 tight end for fantasy, if not top-3.
Rome Odunze makes the catch of the day -- 7/31
Per Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune, Odunze made "arguably the best catch of the day" during this particular practice and looked like Williams' most trusted target on the day.
Last year, Odunze missed multiple games due to the injury. Now, he's healthy and has to get used to his "new normal," which has nothing to do with pain, just a callous that's formed on his foot.
Kalif Raymond receiving a ton of work -- 7/31
This is probably indicative of Raymond being a veteran and someone Ben Johnson is familiar with, but he's getting a lot of work with the ones, again according to Hammond.
