The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and it seems that the Chicago Bears are in a position to consider any scenario with the No. 10 selection in the first round.
Recent speculation has suggested that the Bears could trade back in the draft given there isn't much a drop-off from the talent at the top of the draft to the talent expected to go during the middle rounds. The Bears hold three picks in the first 75 selections of the draft, giving plenty of opportunity to add talent expected to make an impact right away.
However, the Bears also haven't ruled out trading up in the 2025 NFL Draft. Chris Emma of 670 The Score reports that the Bears, through their due diligence, have entertained the idea of moving up in the draft.
Emma specifically mentions the New England Patriots at No. 4 as a team the Bears may find a deal with.
Chicago Bears may look to move up in the 2025 NFL Draft
"The cost of the Bears moving up from No. 10 to No. 4 overall would be one of their two second-round picks (No. 39 and No. 41 overall) if the sides were to follow the guidelines of the NFL Draft trade value chart. In that hypothetical scenario, the Bears could be in the driver’s seat to select the top non-quarterback in this class," Emma writes.
Emma also had a specific player that the Bears would be interested in trading up for. Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham may be the player that the front office is locked on. Graham is considered to be one of the best defensive tackles in this year's draft class and would instantly move the interior of the Bears' defensive line into one of the best groups in the NFL when you consider Grady Jarrett has also been added to the mix this offseason.
Zeroing in on Graham would complete the Bears' mission this offseason: substantially upgrading the trenches. Not to mention, selecting Graham would, in theory, make life easier for Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo on the edges.
