Mock draft season is firing on all cylinders with a lot of attention on what the Chicago Bears are going to do with their draft picks.
The Bears have a lot of needs for general manager Ryan Poles to address in the draft, with edge rusher, defensive tackle, safety, and offensive line being the main focus. There might be other positions getting attention, with Poles focused on picking the best available player.
ESPN's draft experts Mel Kiper Jr., Matt Miller, Jordan Reid, and Field Yates joined together to go through a three-round mock draft, with them switching off each pick. The Bears will have four picks within the first three rounds.
Bears' three-round mock draft according to ESPN
With the 25th overall pick in the first round, Kiper starts things out with Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods, a very popular name in mock drafts.
"Best player available and checking off a need -- that's a win late in Round 1. At his best, Woods is a penetrating 3-technique who would help the Bears' run defense (5.0 yards allowed per carry, 29th) and pass rush (35 sacks, tied for 22nd)."
Moving on to the second round of the draft, with the 57th overall pick, Kiper again picks for the Bears as he takes Penn State edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton.
"Dennis-Sutton had 17 sacks over the past two years, and his 53 pressures in 2025 ranked 10th in the country. That's the sort of juice the Bears need off the edge."
Three picks later, Yates jumps in on the action as he has the Bears take Pittsburgh linebacker/safety, Kyle Louis.
"The Bears are focused on adding speed to their defense this offseason, which Louis could help with at linebacker or safety."
On the third round pick, this is where things get interesting. Kiper has the Bears selecting Clemson wide receiver Antonio Williams with the 89th overall pick.
"The Bears traded DJ Moore, so adding another pass catcher on Day 2 makes sense. Williams had an 11-touchdown season in 2024."
Woods was no surprise pick as many mock drafts like them there, and would help the Bears with their struggles in stopping the run. Dennis-Sutton and Louis are also great picks on defense, as Dennis-Sutton gives them the pass rusher they needed, and Louis is a fascinating prospect who can play linebacker and safety; he might end up being the next Kyle Hamilton.
Williams is the one who might surprise people, as even though a wide receiver is needed, not many mock drafts have the Bears going that way in the first three rounds. It would be a good pick, and the Bears would have a solid WR3 option.
