This time of the NFL offseason, general managers are busy attending Pro Days to see who they want to think about selecting in the 2026 NFL Draft, and Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles has his sights on a position.

Poles was at the Alabama Pro Day in person, as he seemed interested in one specific position group, according to WVUA 23 reporter J.D. Zasa. There is a clip Zasa shared showing Poles watching offensive line drills with guys like offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor and center Parker Brailsford.

Proctor allowed 19 total pressures, four quarterback hits, and two sacks in 527 pass blocking snaps as he was a consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC selection last season. Brailsford was a third-team All-SEC selection in 2025 and was a second-team All-Pac 12 selection in 2023 when he played for Washington.

Ryan Poles have some interesting in Alabama's offensive line

The offensive line is an interesting situation for the Bears, as they seem to have everything figured out, but might need some depth there. Ozzy Trapilo is hurt and will miss a lot of the 2026 season, so Braxton Jones is expected to be the favorite to have the left tackle job to start the year out. Garrett Bradbury is the new starting center of the team after Drew Dalman retired.

Chicago could use some depth and future players on the offensive line and might be able to use that in the 2026 NFL Draft. Brailsford makes sense from the perspective that they need a center to develop and potentially grow into the long-term starter after the 2026 season.

Proctor might be a very different story for the Bears, though. Selecting him in the first round might be a signal to Trapilo that he isn't the guy, and Proctor is the future at left tackle.

The Bears will have their options for offensive linemen in the NFL Draft, but the Crimson Tide might have their top choices there.
