It was this time last month that the Chicago Bears shocked the NFL world with their successful recruitment of Ben Johnson to be their next head coach.
Johnson was the top coaching candidate available in this offseason's hiring cycle, and the Bears matched his profile accordingly to the tune of a five-year deal worth $13MM per season.
Over the last month, Johnson has spent his time filling out his coaching staff. Among the notable hires made under Johnson's watch as Al Harris as the team's defensive passing game coordinator, Antwaan Randle El as the team's assistant head coach, and Eric Bieniemy as the team's running backs coach. Of course, Dennis Allen will be serving as the Bears' defensive coordinator under Johnson with Declan Doyle serving as an offensive coordinator for the first time in his coaching career. Returning as Special Teams coordinator is Richard Hightower.
The Bears officially announced their 2025 coaching staff on Thursday.

With the coaching staff set, the focus for the Bears turns to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine next week in Indianapolis. The event won't just serve as the the official start of the 2025 NFL Draft season with teams getting a first-hand account of this draft class's top prospects, but will also be the next time Johnson speaks as head coach of the Bears.

Johnson will be meeting with reporters next Tuesday at 1 pm EST. Locally, of course, it will be 12 pm CST. With the Bears rumored to be addressing the trenches this offseason, Tuesday will be the first glimpse Bears fans will have at what Johnson has planned for the roster this offseason. Ryan Poles does not currently have a scheduled time but chances are that will become known in the coming days.
