There is a ton of concern with the Chicago Bears' wide receiver position going into their Week 16 showdown against the Green Bay Packers.

Chicago has been dealing with Rome Odunze being out the last two games with his foot injury, while Luther Burden III had a new injury in the 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, as he's dealing with an ankle injury. Bears head coach Ben Johnson gave an update on Burden's status and how serious it is.

"His ankle is something we're working through and talking about. We'll see how this week goes in terms of whether we will have him available Saturday night or not, but it's more of a day-by-day type of deal with him."

Burden and Odunze's injuries open the door for DJ Moore breakout game

With so much concern as to whether Burden and Odunze will play against the Packers, it only means that DJ Moore might end up being the number one receiver on the Bears in Week 16. Moore might be up to the task after having one of the best games of the season against the Browns.

During the game, Moore had four receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns. One of his two touchdown catches was a 22-yard strike from Caleb Williams in the back of the end zone, in one of the best throws of the season, with an even better catch from Moore in tight coverage around him.

It's been a relatively quiet season for Moore, who only has 43 receptions for 567 yards and five touchdowns on the year. While the most yards he has had in a game this season is 73, he seems to be picking up momentum over the last two games, with 10 receptions since Odunze has missed time.

Should Odunze and Burden be out for the Packers game, Moore will be the number one guy, with Olamide Zaccheaus being the next man up. That still leaves Williams with some solid options at wide receiver between Moore and Zaccheaus.

This could be a big game for Moore, who could use a breakout game this season. No better time to have a breakout performance than putting up big numbers on the Packers for the NFC North title and getting his team a spot in the postseason for the first time in five years.
