The importance of this Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers Week 14 showdown can't be understated enough.
This is a battle between two teams that each have only three losses on the season and must win to take the lead in the NFC North and the NFC. Currently, the Bears hold the top spot in both the division and conference at 9-3, with Green Bay right behind at 8-3-1.
While speaking with the media, Bears wide receiver DJ Moore shared his thoughts on the rivalry between the two teams. Moore said something that will be too painful for Bears fans to hear because it's too much of the truth.
"I think this rivalry is probably the most watched and the most important in the NFL because it's the longest one and your Bears have been on the losing side of it so now we need to take control of that."
The ugly truth is Packers have owned the rivalry for a while now
Bears fans may not want to hear it, but the Green Bay Packers have dominated the series of late against Chicago. Since 2010, the Packers have gone 26-5, including an NFC Championship win—painful memories.
The reality is cruel, and it hurts, but there is a silver lining to all of this. Last year, the two sides split the series with Green Bay winning the first game 20-19 and the Bears taking the second one 24-22, thanks to a game-winning Cairo Santos field goal.
That win is the only one the Bears have taken since 2020. It was led by Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and a Chicago team that was significantly worse than the 2025 Bears. If that makes any fans from the Windy City feel better.

Chicago has a chance to rewrite history and change the narrative, showing the Packers don't own the series. This is the Bears' time to crush the "old Bears" narrative and bring in the "new Bears."
