Final Chicago Bears injury report for Week 8 confirms a depleted secondary
While the Washington Commanders continue to disguise the status of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, the Bears' final injury report for the game is pretty straightforward.
For the Bears, the biggest question marks were Kyler Gordon and Jaquan Brisker. Neither Gordon nor Brisker were able to practice this week, taking the surprise element out of the Bears' injury report on Friday.
Brisker remains in the concussion protocol, dealing with his third concussion in as many seasons with the Bears. When Matt Eberflus provided an update on Brisker this past Monday, the indication was that he was on the tail end of being cleared. Sunday's game against the Commanders will mark the second consecutive game that Brisker has missed due to the concussion Eberflus did not offer much of an update on Friday as he mentioned Brisker was in a "good spot mentally". Elijah Hicks will be starting in place of Brisker.

There is some concern that Gordon will not be able to suit up for the game either. Gordon has become an unsung hero of the Bears' defense this season as given how often the team is in nickel, the cornerback acts more like a traditional strong-side linebacker.
Larry Borom and Travis Homer are both eligible to be activated off IR this week. Considering each player was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, that would be an indication that they should be ready for the game on Sunday. Though, given the roster implications, the Bears may wait until closer to the NFL Trade Deadline before activating both players.
It also seems like the days of Cole Kmet being the team's long snapper are officially over. Scott Daly presumably will be able to play on Sunday after leaving the game against the Jaguars with a knee injury.
