First-round options for the Bears in the 2025 NFL Draft following Joe Thuney trade

The Chicago Bears have started to make moves before free agency has already started. While the team may have crossed off an immediate need, it still opens the door to plenty of options at pick number ten. Who should the Bears have eyes on?

Offensive line

Even though the Bears added two guards, Braxton Jones is hurt and in the final year of his rookie contract. The Bears could draft Kelvin Banks, Armand Membou, or Josh Simmons at No.10. All of them could start next year over Jones, and even if they do not, they could jump in for the 2026 season as the future starting left tackle.

Defensive line

Andrew Billings was injured last year and the depth was embarrassing without him. A stud next to Gervon Dexter could make them the most feared defensive interior with Dexter taking a step. If Mason Graham falls, he would be a great pick. Kenneth Grant, Walter Nolan and Derrick Harmon could be in this range as well.

Edge Rusher

The Bears need to improve over DeMarcus Walker. Shemar Stewart showed at the NFL Combine he is in range for a top ten pick. Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, James Pearcre, and Mike Green have shots at being top ten picks as well. You have all probably seen a mock draft with one of these for players being mocked to the team at one point this offseason.

Running back

After the Bears added two linemen, the talk immediately shifted to Ashton Jeanty at tenth. However, there are still plenty of options that could make this less of a need and more of a luxury pick. Jeanty, for what it's worth, is scheduled to have a Top 30 visit with the Bears at Halas Hall.
