We're vibing in the Windy City. These Chicago Bears are winners of two in a row and are now 3-1 overall.
Even without Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson continues to prove why he's one of the best head coaches in football in getting wins with both Case Keenum and Tyson Bagent.
But, when Williams comes back, could he and this Bears roster see a familiar face return to Chicago?
That and more in our latest former Bears player check in; let's take a look around the league.

Could Khalil Mack return to the Bears?
With the way the Bears' defense is playing right now, Brad Biggs expects the team to add to it prior to the trade deadline in November. The question is, who will they pursue?
Bears fans have dreamt of a reunion with Khalil Mack for a good year or so; now, with the Los Angeles Chargers starting the season 0-4, the buzz is starting to get real within the fan base. It isn't just the Bears' fan base, though. Obviously, a few fan bases would love to add a player like Mack if he were to become available.
Mack has notched a sack in three straight games for the Chargers defense. The fact that he is on a one-year contract makes this all the more realistic for the Bears.
Soon, they'll get Coby Bryant back and, hopefully, even Kyler Gordon. Assuming those guys stay on the field, adding another pass rusher to the mix could help this defense turn things up a notch. A 35-year-old pass rusher, on a one-year deal, couldn't cost Chicago more than a fifth or sixth-round pick at this point.
I will add, the number 52 is available as no one took it following the retirement of Drew Dalman.
D.J. Moore aggravates same injury
A couple of weeks back, former Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore hurt his shoulder. While he hasn't missed any full games, this week the Bills wideout aggravated the very same shoulder injury against the New England Patriots.
Moore is said to be on a day-to-day status, right now, but it's unfortunate to see him struggle with this issue so early on in his first year with Josh Allen.
This season, Moore has 12 receptions for 178 yards and a touchdown. That's includes being shut out on targets and receptions in Week 2 against Detroit when he originally suffered that injury in the second quarter.
David Montgomery caught in misery
In his last three games, David Montgomery has rushed for 67 yards on 27 carries. To say it's been tough sledding is an understatement.
Montgomery was dealt to the Houston Texans by way of Detroit so that he could be a featured back rather than playing second fiddle to Jahmyr Gibbs. However, that hasn't worked out so well for him thus far.
The Texans' offensive line continues to struggle mightily in the run blocking department.
Not only has Montgomery failed to get going this season, but the Texans are also 0-4 after dropping their Week 4 contest to the Dallas Cowboys.
He's seen better days.
Gervon Dexter keeps the strong play rolling
Speaking of better days, after Gervon Dexter and his Atlanta Falcons started the season 0-2, he's seen his offense score 80 points over their last two games, while winning both. Dexter and the 2-2 Falcons have a little momentum, and he's been part of that on the defensive side.
Dexter finished his Week 4 tilt against the New Orleans Saints with his third straight game tallying four quarterback pressures. The Falcons' defensive line was in the face of Tyler Shough all night long and Dexter continues to prove his worth.
Although, I'll say it again: the Bears were never going to pay up like the Falcons did.
Durham Smythe out for the season
Although he spent only one year with the Bears, just last season, Durham Smythe is a familiar name to Ben Johnson, having worked together in Miami a few years ago.
The Ravens tight end suffered an injury on Sunday in Baltimore's win over the Tennessee Titans and, early this week, it was confirmed to be a torn Achilles. That's a shame for the 31-year-old who has spent the majority of his career as a "glue" guy in the tight end room.
