Since Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears drafted tight end Colston Loveland, the player comps have had fans buzzing.

Beyond the obvious Sam LaPorta comparison, though, comes even higher praise if you were to ask former Bears tight end and future Hall of Famer Greg Olsen.

On a recent podcast episode with former NFL wide receiver Steve Smith Sr., Olsen had some seriousl, high praise for Loveland.

If his analysis comes to fruition, Bears fans are going to be ecstatic.

Greg Olsen sees Colston Loveland as a Travis Kelce or George Kittle type

"I think Loveland is the modern-day tight end ... there's two types of NFL tight ends. There's guys you have to scheme open ... there's guys that can get themself open.

"There's not a lot of guys that can get themselves open ... Loveland is that guy ... he can win one-on-one ... Those are the Kelces and the Kittles and the real special guys. I think Loveland is that guy," Olsen finished.

Some fans immediately went to YouTube and started watching Loveland highlights after the pick was made, and if you're like me, you did want to make a comment about his ability to get open. Furthermore, his knack for gaining yards after the catch, but not even in a flashy way (a la Kelce) was impressive.

It was difficult not to make the Kelce or Kittle comparison.

But, here we are, with a Hall of Fame tight end making that exact same comparison.

It isn't that crazy of an assessment, though, either. Olsen is right. There aren't many tight ends who do a great job of getting themselves open. But somehow, some way, Kelce and Kittle do it on a regular basis.

There are countless times you see the two of them finding a soft spot and just settling down for their quarterback. They make it look too easy, but if it was that easy, everyone would be doing it.

The Bears may have just found a future All Pro.
