Less than a week until the Chicago Bears face off against the Green Bay Packers, and nobody can wait any longer for it.

The Bears enter the game with a 9-3 record, in first place in the NFC North, and currently hold the NFC's number one seed. Their opponents are nipping at their heels with an 8-3-1 record.

Many Bears within the organization, including Ben Johnson and Cole Kmet, have already talked about the importance of this game. Cornerback Jaylon Johnson added to the excitement of the rivalry game with his incredible comments.

"We have more belief than what we've had previously before because we've put in the work and we've seen the results come from it, and you gain confidence from that. I would say we definitely feel a lot better. But again, this is a different team, a different season, and we're going into it all guns blazing, ready and prepared."

Everyone in Chicago is ready for the Packers

Bears fans couldn't be happier to have Jaylon Johnson back on the field as he returned during the team's 24-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. While Johnson was on a pitch count and made only one tackle, his impact was felt desperately for a secondary that had gone over two months without him.

The NFL's two oldest teams have been clashing since 1921. Green Bay has been dominant in the series since 2010, going 26-5 in that span, including 11 wins in the last 12 matchups.

Chicago split the series with Green Bay last year, with the Packers winning the first meeting 20-19. The Bears were able to close out the nightmare 2024 season with a Cairo Santos game-winner to take down the Packers 24-22.

The hope is that the Bears can take back the series, as they did until the 1980s. A statement win in Week 14 would certainly be a step in the right direction for that.
