Kay Adams isn't buying into offseason narrative about Bears heading into 2026

We are not either!

While there are a lot of believers in the Chicago Bears entering the 2026 season, there are just as many who don't believe the success of last year can be matched.

The Bears stunned the NFL last year by going 11-6, winning the NFC North, and beating the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card, but based on their 2026 schedule, there are doubts that they can win 11 games again. Chicago has at least one believer: "Up and Adams" host Kay Adams shared her thoughts on FanDuel's projection of the Bears winning 9.5 games, saying she believes that's too low.

"Nine and a half? This was an 11-win team last year. I don't see this like an anomaly regression low. We're Year 2 of Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson, so it will all just either equal all things considered, or you get a jump. Last year was great, but you can't tell me there's not more room in the passing game, and Caleb is not working his butt off and outside the DJ Moore trade, which I think was a long time coming, there's a lot of continuity here and opportunity for Rome (Odunze) to make it his. And I like what they have done on defense. Dillon Thieneman, friend of the show, Coby Bryant taking over at safety. I just feel like they're going to be better on that side of the ball, Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon, they're healthy. I'm not subscribing to the idea on like schedule and anomaly and whatever they're going to be at least an 11-win team or better that's how I feel."

Kay Adams believes Bears will win at least 11 games in 2026

The Bears made enough moves during the offseason that there shouldn't be a regression on the roster. All the usual suspects are back, and new additions like Thieneman, Bryant, and Devin Bush only make the team better, especially on defense.

Most people have looked at the tough schedule the Bears will face in 2026 as part of the reason their record will be worse than last year. Chicago has the sixth-toughest schedule in the NFL, as they are about to play 12 games next season against teams that were in the playoffs, had at least a winning record, or both.

There's going to be a lot of people who are going to doubt the Bears, but this team is too good to regress, and even if they get less than 11 wins in 2026, they are still going to be a legitimate threat in the playoffs and be better built for a Super Bowl run with the high-quality teams they will play.
