While many Chicago Bears fans celebrated the team's 38-0 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, those watching on television might have been more focused on the conversation regarding the
proposed new stadium.
FOX commentator and former Chicago Bears tight end Greg Olsen asked Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren about how important it is for the team to have a new stadium in Chicago. Warren shared his response and how great it would be to have the stadium in the proposed site of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
""One of the things about it is, Chicago, and also Arlington Heights, is in Cook County. We're in the same county, so it's important for us to work this out, but it looks like it'll afford us an opportunity for everyone across this great state of Illinois we live in to be able to benefit from it. Our fans deserve an opportunity to have a world class stadium to be able to watch the Chicago Bears football. It's a great design. It'll be comfortable. We'll have an opportunity for our fans to tailgate and the great thing about it is we have a train station that drops right off in the facility in Arlington Heights. So we are looking forward to proceeding forward."
Greg Olsen: "How important is it to you guys, at the organization, to keep the future home of the Bears in Chicago?"

Bears fans are prepping for a new stadium to come soon
There has been a lot of conversation surrounding the Bears' proposed $4.7 billion stadium in Arlington Heights. It would be a dome stadium that would attract plenty of natural light. The organization is hoping to have the new stadium attract more sports events to Chicago, like the Super Bowl, college basketball Final Four, and soccer's World Cup.
Fans have been concerned with the fact that the team is asking for $2.4 billion of public funding for the stadium. It's also the added fact that Solider Field is a historic stadium in the heart of the city while the new proposed stadium would be on the outside northwest of Chicago.
Bears fans have a personal attachment to Soldier Field, which is understandable. The trend in the NFL and in professional sports of late is to build luxury stadiums and keep fans warm in dome stadiums.

Not sure if fans would be okay with never seeing the Bears in a snow game in the dead of winter in Chicago anymore, but it appears pending approval, it might be the case. It remains to be seen whether fans can make the adjustment to it should this happen.
