With Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers being more confirmation that the Chicago Bears may not have another win on their schedule this season, the relevant news surrounding the organization is taking place away from the field.

The Bears are in uncharted territory as for the first time in the history of their organization, the team can begin their head coaching search in-season given the firing of Matt Eberflus following the team's Thanksgiving game loss to the Detroit Lions.

Ben Johnson has been the name at the top of every Bears' fan wish list but given the dysfunction that has followed the Bears, he could have reservations about joining the organization

Johnson was among the list of candidates shared by a Chicago sports radio icon on Monday.

The latest Bears' HC candidates leaves an unsatisfied taste.

Dan McNeil will always have a special place in my heart, as his voice very much defined my ascension into a Chicago Sports fan during my teenage years. Having said that, I do question the legitimacy if this list considering the hashtag used is the name of the McNeil's book that he is currently selling.

Truth be told, however, it's not a terrible list of candidates but there is one candidates that doesn't belong, meaning the McCaskey Family may consider him the favorite.

Buffalo Bills' offensive coordinator Joe Brady has seen his coaching profile on the ascent since taking over the role from Ken Dorsey last season. Mind you, Brady is the offensive coordinator of an offense run by Josh Allen. The same Josh Allen who was finished product as a quarterback prior to Brady taking over. That's not to discredit Brady's candidacy but he seems to be a very safe choice in the sense that he will come cheap and likely won't rock the boat.

That wouldn't be the case for Mike Vrabel of Brian Flores. While Vrabel is likely someone who The McCaskey Family can be sold on, that likely doesn't apply for Flores. Flores is in the middle of a lawsuit against the league and given how the McCaskeys operate, that likely is a non-starter.
