The NFL announced the rosters for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, which are as much a hot-button topic as they are exciting. Chicago Bears standout cornerback Nahshon Wright is a prime example after missing the cut.

Bears fans had been waiting for Wright to get his well-deserved flowers in response to what's been a true breakout campaign. He's been instrumental to the team's improbable year-over-year turnaround. Alas, the voting results left him on the outside looking in, which evidently riled up more than just folks in Chicago.

Even Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons couldn't quite understand why Wright came up short, taking to social media to air his frustrations.

Packers star Micah Parsons comes to Bears CB Nahshon Wright's defense after Pro Bowl snub

"[Nahshon] Wright getting snubbed for first team Pro Bowl selection is crazy!!" Parsons stated on X (formerly known as Twitter). The praise is especially noteworthy coming from one of the premier players in football, and an NFC North rival at that.

Moreover, Parsons' shout-out comes just a few days after his Packers squandered a 10-point fourth-quarter lead and lost a massive showdown with Chicago. The timing of his endorsement only adds to the intrigue and highlights how adamant the perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate is about Wright.

Division foes or not, game recognize game; there's a healthy mutual respect that unites all high-level competitors. Like all of us, Parsons wants to see Wright get recognized accordingly for his outstanding efforts between the lines, and rightfully so.

Wright is one of only five players with at least five interceptions through Week 16. His Bears comrade, safety Kevin Byard, who earned a Pro Bowl nod, is the only one of the bunch with six. Yet, that's far from the only data point worth highlighting from what's been a surprisingly stellar season.

Not only has Wright been a ball hawk, but he's also made an impact in the ground game. His 82.4 Pro Football Focus run-defense grade ranks 7th out of 111 qualified corners. Only Kamari Lassiter of the Houston Texans (19) has more defensive stops than him (14).

Chicago has been arguably the success story of 2025, and signing Wright to a one-year "prove it" deal this past offseason has been a key factor. He's gone from primarily being a special teams contributor across his first four seasons to an every-down defender with the Bears. First-year head coach Ben Johnson has empowered him to help anchor a stop unit that leads the league in takeaways (31).
