Myles Garrett's not-so-subtle gesture to Micah Parsons is pure gold to Bears fans

With the Super Bowl finally behind us, and all the dust having taken the moment to settle, the NFL is now officially in the offseason.

Many franchises are finalizing their 2026 coaching staffs, and a very happy few are celebrating a big win for Seattle. Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons are no different, recently sitting down for a casual conversation hosted by Bleacher Report.

The Bears and Packers rivalry provided the backdrop all season, culminating in a rare postseason meeting that ended with Chicago sending Green Bay home. By the time that series wrapped, certain moments from the matchup had already taken on a life of their own, including one gesture that opposing defenders would soon reference without needing any explanation.

A Casual Conversation

Garrett didn't wait for the topic to come to him; rather, he brought it to the table. As Parsons talked through the game, Garrett interrupted with the now-familiar Iceman motion, steering the conversation exactly where he wanted it to go.

“Oh my God, y’all didn’t show me him. I can’t lie, like, seeing that and seeing him get that name, and just this right here,” Parsons said, mimicking the motion. “It just kind of just said, brrrr.”

What made the moment notable was not the gesture itself, but rather who initiated it. Garrett was not prompted; he chose to interrupt the conversation with a casual jab at Parsons. The casual exchange turned into an acknowledgement of what Williams represents to the Packers.

Parsons's choice to respond only reinforced the idea. He didn't dismiss the concept; rather, he admitted it caused him strife.

Parsons was unable to finish the season due to a torn ACL in Week 15, the very week between the Bears/Packers regular season matchups. That's the sort of thing that causes a revenge storyline. Despite the salt that Parsons must be tasting now, this is the type of respect rarely shown in a rivalry of this proportion.

Those sorts of moments rarely come from headlines, but rather, they're born on the field. When an elite defender acknowledges it unprompted, it usually means something real happened. That sort of reaction is usually something that lingers and probably will until they clash again in 2026.
