Monday night's 27-24 loss for the Chicago Bears over the Minnesota Vikings was already tough enough without linebacker T.J. Edwards and cornerbacks Kyler Gordon and Jaylon Johnson. Having injuries to the defensive line is the last thing the Bears need right now.
In the latest injury report, the Bears received a new addition that is making fans worry, with defensive tackle Grady Jarrett not practicing on Wednesday with a knee injury. Gordon also did not practice with his hamstring injury.
If there is a silver lining, Johnson was a full participant in practice, which bodes well for him playing on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Edwards also practiced, but he was limited by his hamstring injury.

Bears' defense still impressed without key starters, but can't afford anymore injuries
Under the circumstances, the Bears' defense was actually impressive with how they fought through the injuries and played well. They allowed just 254 total yards of offense and only allowed three third-down conversions out of 12. Backup cornerback Nahshon Wright had the play of the game for the Bears with his long pick-six on Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy to give the Bears a 17-6 lead at that point.
Jarrett had a good debut with the Bears, with three tackles, and one of them was solo. He was able to help stuff the Vikings' running game to 120 yards.
The problem with the Bears is that they lost some juice at the end, and the lack of depth at key positions on defense played a big role in that. Not having Johnson or Gordon in the secondary, as well as not having Edwards at linebacker, hurt. Even the loss of Austin Booker at defensive end was felt with the Bears off the edge.

Chicago is hoping to have everyone back for the Lions game, which has become more important than ever after winning just one division game last year.
