NFC North Power Rankings Week 6: Caleb Williams has the Bears being taken seriously
The NFC North may just be the best division in football.
The Detroit Lions were on their bye week during Week 5 but the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears were all victorious on Sunday.
With the victories by each NFC North team that played on Sunday, the division is now the only one in the NFL where each team has a record above .500.
That is why the rise of Caleb Williams is important for the Bears. It's also the reason why the Bears need to take advantage of the games they have prior to their first NFC North contest this season against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11. With a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Bears will enter their bye week with a record of 4-2 while firmly being in the conversation as a playoff team in the NFC.
NFC North Power Rankings Week 6
1. Minnesota Vikings (Last Week: 1)
Week 5 Result: Win against New York Jets, 23-17
Minnesota Vikings' defensive coordinator Brian Flores is going to be a popular name for head coaching vacancies this offseason. As long as Flores is calling plays for the Vikings' defense, there is very little reason to doubt that the Vikings are the best team in the NFC North. Though, as of now, the Vikings appear to be the best team in the NFC.
One slight concern, however, is that Sam Darnold may have come back down to earth. In the victory over the Jets, Darnold completed less than 50% of his passes with an interception and no touchdown passes.
