Every Chicago Bears fan has been grateful to have quarterback Caleb Williams in the Windy City, as he has started his career as good as any in franchise history.

In just his second season, Williams broke a franchise record for passing yards in a season with 3,942 and helped the Bears win a playoff game for the first time in 15 years. He's been everything the Bears have wanted in a quarterback and has more of an impact in two years than most have in their whole careers.

OnĀ ESPN's Get Up, the panel was discussing Williams, and NFL analyst Harry Douglas made a bold prediction about the young quarterback for the 2026 season.

"For 2026, Caleb Williams will be MVP of the NFL."

Bold prediction on Caleb Williams is what Bears fans hope will happen

This is quite the take from Douglas, but one that isn't out of the realm of possibility. Williams has improved in yards and touchdowns from his rookie season to 2025.

The only aspect of Williams' game that needs improvement is his accuracy. He dropped from 62.5% in 2024 to 58.1% in 2025.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson has certainly worked his magic in making Williams better. Throughout the season, Johnson has added more onto Williams' plate with calls to make, and that has resulted in positive plays for the offense.

Williams' natural athletic ability can't be coached, though he's been able to make some insane passes. Bears fans saw it first hand with the fourth-and-eight completion to Rome Odunze late in the fourth quarter that saved the season for Chicago in the NFC Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers.

It's only the second season for Williams and there are already calls for him being an MVP, which is something most fans in the NFL dream of having. The Bears have something special in their franchise quarterback.
