As we get closer to the 2025 NFL draft, the number of prospects that could truly go to the Chicago Bears is starting to dwindle. As Daniel Jeremiah unveiled his final mock draft, it was one of the most likely candidates based on recent waves of reporting.

Jeremiah has the Bears taking Tyler Warren, the tight end from Penn State. It is worth noting in this mock draft that Ashton Jeanty went fifth overall, and three offensive linemen also went in the top ten. Mykel Williams and Mason Graham joined the consensus top three to round out the top ten. When the board breaks like this, Warren has to be the expected pick for the Bears.

All of the top players that they have been linked to are gone beyond Warren, and most draft boards would tell you that Warren is the best player available.

Jeremiah had Grey Zabel as the next pick after Warren, and then it was Tet McMillan and Colston Loveland, two pass catchers rated below Warren.

Tyler Warren gives the Bears' offense another playmaker

Not only that, but he fits the offense. Some have compared Warren to Sam LaPorta, especially in terms of them being players that you can get the ball in their hands near the line of scrimmage and see them turn upfield for big yards.

Ashton Jeanty and Treveyon Henderson have been given talk around the Bears because Ben Johnson drafted Jahmyr Gibbs so high, but there has been less talk about Warren being the LaPorta in his offense.

That is because the team has Cole Kmet, but Kmet can be a reliable in-line blocker. While Warren can do that as well, he is at his best when he is flexed out and able to motion around in the offense. Penn State had him line up in the backfield and take wildcat snaps, and you know that Ben Johnson is intrigued by that.

There is a small list of players that the Bears may take, and Warren is clearly on that list. If the board broke this way, this is the most likely pick.
