One of the out of nowhere moments of the 2025 NFL season was the emergence of the Chicago Bears and how they gutted their way to an 11-6 record and coming one win short of the NFC Championship game.

From the comeback and game-winning drives to Caleb Williams' spectacular throws, the Bears were the talk of the town during the season and now the country can't stop talking about them. NFL reporter Stacey Dales shared more about what is being said about the Bears this offseason that not many people have said about them in a long time.

"The buzz around the league is such that you better look out, because Chicago’s got something brewing," Dales said via 104.3 The Score. "And they’re just starting to scratch the surface with it. Caleb (Williams) developed a lot of believers around the league."

Bears' buzz is real and it's here to stay

There's a lot to be excited about with this Bears team as they enter the offseason. Williams improved dramatically as a quarterback, Chicago's 2025 draft class ended up being a hit with four key contributors on the team, and head coach Ben Johnson lived up to the offensive genius status he earned.

The biggest question this offseason is whether the Bears can create enough cap space to go get an elite edge rusher through free agency or trade. So far, the Bears are talking about potentially trading guys like Tremaine Edmunds, DJ Moore, Tyson Bagent, and Gervon Dexter.

If Chicago really wants to make some noise in the next few weeks, the Bears need to figure out how to trade for Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby. The Bears are the betting odds favorites to land Crosby in a trade and a team to watch out for.

Even with the buzz already crazy in Chicago, there is even more potential for that noise to get louder with what the Bears do in the offseason, which could have everyone calling for them to make the Super Bowl in 2026.
