There might not be a team in the NFL that was more excited to get back in the building for the 2026 season than the Chicago Bears.
The Bears are riding high after going 11-6, winning the NFC North, and completing a miraculous 18-point comeback to beat the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card. Bears tight end Colston Loveland spent some time with the media on Day 2 of the team's offseason program and discussed how the team is feeling heading into it.
"Boys are ready to go," Loveland said via The Score's Chris Emma. "Everybody has good juice, good energy, the vibes are high right now."
Colston Loveland lets the NFL know Bears are ready for 2026 season
It's hard to ignore the excitement the Bears have for the 2026 season, with expectations higher than they've been in the last decade-plus. Bears head coach Ben Johnson has given the city a reason to be excited with the culture shift and development work he has done on the players, including quarterback Caleb Williams.
Loveland himself gives the Windy City reason to look forward to a new year with the bright future he has. As a rookie, he led the team in receptions (58), yards (713), and touchdowns (six). The scary part is he's only going to get better.
The 2026 NFL Draft should be another step in making this Bears team better, as last year's class was full of great players. Loveland was one of them as the 10th overall pick, but also Luther Burden, Ozzy Trapilo, and Kyle Monangai all shined in their debut seasons with the Bears.

2025 was a test run of what it could be like for the Bears in the Johnson era. Now in Year 2, the training wheels are off, and Chicago is expecting Super Bowl contenders by next February.
