Bill Barnwell of ESPN went through the trade stances that each team in the NFL should take heading into the trade deadline.
For the Chicago Bears, he noted that the team should take a neutral approach. Barnwell notes that while they could try to buy, they should also listen to offers, specifically on DJ Moore.
Should the Chicago Bears trade DJ Moore?
This makes sense considering the Bears' current standing in terms of their record and their ongoing rebuild. This is a team right in the middle. They are just out of the playoff mix in a deep NFC, and most fans realize that a first-year coach and a second-year quarterback learning his third offense is not the duo that usually sparks the playoff run.
So, while the Bears could buy their way into the playoffs this year, they also have to think about where they stand moving forward.
On the other hand, they could also see how young they are, realize that some of the aging players are not helping and will soon be gone, and try to continue the youth movement into a fresh team moving forward. If they know they are not competing, why go for it in a big way?
This could involve trading Moore. Let's face it, Moore is a talented wide receiver. He will probably do fine with someone else. However, whether it is on the field or off of it, he does not mesh well with Caleb Williams. Those two are never on the same page, and the emotions displayed after missed connections reveal the issues.
The Bears have Rome Odunze, Cole Kmet, and Colston Loveland emerging in the offense, and if they trade Moore, it would finally open the door for Luther Burden to get real snaps.
Then, the capital acquired on Moore could turn them into buyers again this year, or give them a chance to get younger on defense in the draft.

When most people hear neutral, they think about not making any moves. The Bears could have a neutral stance by selling Moore to buy elsewhere. This may be their best move.
