The 2024 NFL trade deadline is still three weeks away, but that hasn't stopped teams from making blockbusters ahead of time. Are the Chicago Bears on the cusp of making a move?

I suppose we don't know for sure, but all signs point to Ryan Poles maintaining his confidence in this roster as the Bears go into the bye week. While fans have wanted the team to add talent on the offensive line, Poles has even gone so far as to say he feels the Bears are deeper than ever in that area.

So, the moral of the story is, don't hold your breath.

Now, watching players like Davante Adams and Amari Cooper get traded already might give fans an itch for more action, namely in Chicago. Whether or not the Bears make a move remains to be seen, but could an NFC North rival make one?

With each of the Bears' three rivals in mind, and their areas of potentially needing some depth, these deals would be ones in which fans would not like to see happen.

The NFC North is the best division in football, but these trades could have scary repercussions

If the Lions traded for Brian Burns

The biggest story around the division, right now, is the Detroit Lions' loss of pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson. Before going down with a season-ending leg fracture, Hutchinson was leading the league in sacks. This is a monstrous blow to the Lions defense, and head coach Dan Campbell has said whether or not they go and get someone, they're confident in their locker room.

More Bears news:

But, if they somehow landed one of the better names who could be available on the block, look out. Brian Burns is a long shot, but if the New York Giants start selling, you never know. That's a team which could look to completely reset around a new quarterback in 2025 and try to start over. Burns, on that Detroit defense, would be almost as nasty as Hutchinson.

If the Packers traded for Tre'Davious White

Would it be a total nightmare if the Packers went out and got LA Rams cornerback Tre'Davious White? Not necessarily, but White would give them adequate depth at arguably their biggest position of need. Green Bay is already way up there in terms of takeaways, and adding a former Pro Bowler as a depth piece would be a fantastic get for this Packers team.

If the Vikings traded for Sebastian Joseph-Day

Do the Vikings necessarily need an interior defensive lineman? You could argue that maybe another one wouldn't hurt, but it isn't a pressing need. If they were to add someone like Sebastian Joseph-Day, though, this front seven gets even scarier. A Brian Flores defense already looks lethal, but getting another difference-maker on the interior could do some serious damage.

The biggest deal out of all these would obviously be Detroit getting Burns, but all three of them give a Bears rival some depth at a position that's needing just a little bit more. This already looks like the best division in football, but adding more talent to it?

Things could get even more interesting.
