I probably don't need to tell you, but the Chicago Bears are a huge bummer.
With three weeks left in the season, absolutely nothing matters anymore, which you can pretty easily tell by watching literally any Bears game in the last month. Things have gotten so bleak recently that Bears fans are starting to ever-so-slightly turn on Caleb Williams, who admittedly hasn't looked quite like the franchise star that he was talked about as before this season.

But thanks to Twitter, anyone can just find a random stat and become the one beacon of hope that an entire NFL fanbase hangs on with every ounce of hope they have left. And even better news for fans in Chicago is that the Bears' Arbitrary Twitter Stat arrived on Sunday, and it's a good one.
The Lions struggle more against Caleb Williams than any other QB in the NFL
I don't really know how important this actually is (I mean, I do) but the important thing is that it reads like a big deal. The Lions are good! Josh Allen is good! That must mean that Caleb Williams is too. When only two QBs have thrown multiple touchdowns against a good defense, that's notable. Right? It feels notable. Fine, it feels notable enough for a four-win team in Week 16.
On top of that, when Williams' outsized performances against the Lions gets the attention of Detroit offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, so much so that he decides to take the Bears' job, we'll all remember where we were today. There are bigger things than "wins" and "losses" at play right now, and Williams knows that. This is all calculated by Williams (and apparently Josh Allen too) to better position the Bears teams of the future.
You may see a totally random, cherry-picked stat used for social media clout, but I see a Bears quarterback finally transcending the organizational stench and guiding them into the future with incredible levels of foresight. It's all about perspective.
