2024 NFL Draft: Chicago Bears complete 7-round mock draft simulation
Round 4, Pick 103: EDGE Austin Booker
Austin Booker transferred to Kansas for the 2023 season after spending his first two collegiate seasons with Minnesota. The edge rusher exploded onto the scene with the Jayhawks, collecting 12 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
Booker was thought to be a riser in the 2024 NFL Draft but a poor combine showing could affect his draft stock. Booker had a disappointing 40-yard dash time, smaller hands than expected, and came in underweight for the position. However, it's clear that Booker has the natural pass-rushing talent to be a rotational piece in the NFL.
At the top of the fourth round, Booker would be excellent value. Other than Jacob Martin, the Bears have not done anything to address the pass rush. A developmental piece like Booker could be a perfect option next to Montez Sweat.
