Round 4, Pick 122: DL Maason Smith

With the Bears' own fourth-rounder, I decided to add to the defensive line again. If Maason Smith is still on the board here, Ryan Poles should have an easy decision to make.

Smith is massive, standing at 6'6" and weighing in at just under 300 pounds. The lineman's size is a lot for defenders to handle and he also had the 8th-best athletic score among defensive linemen at the combine. Smith racked up 28 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks for the LSU Tigers in 2023. Smith does have an injury history, but the raw talent and instincts are undeniable.

The Bears could use reinforcements on the interior DL after losing Justin Jones. Smith would be a high-upside option at this point of the draft.
