3 Bears players who could become first time Pro Bowlers in 2024

Teven Jenkins, OL

If Jenkins is finally going to make the leap that everyone's expecting, the bet here is that it happens in 2024. Through the first three seasons of his career, Jenkins' has flashed tons of potential – after a rough rookie season, he's finished each of the last two years with a overall Pro Football Focus grade above 70. And he's cleaned up some of the penalty issues, too: after committing seven in his first season, he's only committed seven since.

Now, at 26, he'll go into 2024 with lofty expectations. The Bears' line should continue to be one of the better run-blocking units in football, and Jenkins is probably the best run-blocking player in the unit. He's ranked as PFF's 17th best guard going into 2024, and his pass blocking has gotten better every season. Injuries will be the major question – he's never played anywhere close to a full season, and has yet to start more than 11 games in any year. If he can stay healthy, there's no reason to believe he can't be one of the NFL's elite guards this year.
