Sticking with the theme, DJ Wonnum is another talented edge rusher slated to hit free agency this offseason. Like Hunter, Wonnum had a career season in 2023. Wonnum collected 62 tackles, eight sacks, and seven tackles for loss.

Wonnum figures to be much cheaper than Hunter and is also three years younger. Wonnum could slot in at the defensive end position that was occupied by Yannick Ngakoue in 2023. If the Bears cannot stomach Hunter's asking price, Wonnum is a solid backup option.
