Quarterback

Quarterback is the biggest position of need on the Bears' roster right now. The team rosters just Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien following the Fields' trade. However, the team holds two first-round picks and is all but guaranteed to select a new signal-caller in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Even with the top pick likely being a QB, the Bears could still use a veteran backup option. Rypien has a career 58.3% completion percentage with four touchdowns and nine interceptions. Bagent was undrafted out of a Division II school and didn't inspire much confidence in 2023.

The Bears need to add at least one QB. One of them will be a rookie, and the other should be a proven veteran who can help mentor said rookie.
