WR Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders

The Bears desperately need a complimentary receiving option next to DJ Moore. Who better than one of Moore's former teammates? Curtis Samuel and DJ Moore were teammates with the Carolina Panthers from 2018-20.

Since 2021, Samuel has been a member of the Commanders. The versatile receiver has collected 132 catches for 1,296 yards and 8 touchdowns over parts of 3 seasons. Samuel enters free agency this offseason after collecting 62 catches for 613 yards and 4 TDs in 2023. Spotrac projects the veteran to command $11.5M annually in free agency.

With Darnell Mooney failing to impress and also entering free agency, the Bears should look to Samuel for receiver help. Samuel is a speedy receiver who's been productive and likely wouldn't cost as much as Tee Higgins, Mike Evans, or Marquise Brown.
