With free agency approaching the Bears have a chance to improve their team in free agency as they currently stand with the third most cap space in the NFL. The Bears are slated to have a little less than 80 million in cap space, this offseason, and once Jaylon Johnson either gets his deal or franchise tag that will go down to around $60 million.

However, I would argue that the fact that the Bears have the third most cap space is rather deceiving. Jaylon Johnson needs a new deal which will cost the Bears around $20 million and DJ Moore is also due for a new deal next year, not to mention that it is always good to have cap flexibility. So I would strongly advocate against a massive spending spree this year for the Bears. Signing 2 quality starters for about 30 million is the most I would hand out this offseason if I were in the position of General Manager, Ryan Poles.

So I will not be saying to go out and throw cash out the window by giving a blank check to Mike Evans or Saquon Barkey, as well as signing an edge rusher and center. Only one of my targets will be high-profile guys and you do anything to sign.
