2. Kiran Amegadjie has played left guard
One of the small benefits to the Chicago Bears drafting Amegadjie is that he has left guard experience. It was back in 2021, and it was his first year starting at a major program, but he has 669 snaps at left guard.
We can get one thing straight, his projection is left tackle. He should sit a year and adjust to the NFL. His second NFL season will be the last year that Braxton Jones is on his rookie salary, so we could start to see a shift come then or after Jones leaves via free agency.
Still, the Bears have to know that they cannot trust Teven Jenkins or Nate Davis after their injury concerns last year. Neither of them is viewed as a long-term option, either. Does the team have Amegadjie as insurance as a potential guard option? It seems unlikely, but adding that ability with the team having their current depth chart at guard makes it a great fit.
