1. Will the Chicago Bears keep Austin Reed around in 2024?

Austin Reed is the last name to keep an eye on. Reed is obviously interested in being a quarterback, and he just so happened to work out with Caleb Williams this offseason, so there may be more to why he signed here.

The Bears nailed a UDFA signing with Tyson Bagent last year, and they clearly want to keep churning out potential players who can fill in for a game or two if their quarterback is injured. Reed played for the pass-happy Western Kentuck over the past two years after transferring from West Florida. This increased his draft stock exponentially.

Now, he enters a quarterback room where he will have to compete, but he can make his presence felt. Reed will be competing with Bagent and Brett Rypien. Bagent was a success last year, but he was tied to Luke Getsy, while Reed is now tied to the current OC. Rypien came here this offseason, but his age and experience could have the team leaning toward Reed if the two are close.

Do not be surprised if Austin Reed is making a push for the roster this offseason.
