1. Chicago Bears leave draft weekend without answers on the lines

If the Chicago Bears took Bijan Robinson, fans would be up and down on it, but eventually settle. However, if they followed that up with Julius Brents, and Marvin Mims with their next two picks, fans would really start to get restless.

Maybe they sprinkle in a skill pick here and there, and a cornerback could be on the board. However, this has to be a trenches draft. The Chicago Bears are still so weak here. Fans wanted them to address the trenches last year, and they went with a cornerback and a safety. Fans wanted Mike McGlinchey and DreMont Jones, but they got Tremaine Edmunds instead.

They did add a bunch of lineman on day three, but after throwing stuff at the wall, only one name stuck. They cannot just wait until day three to take fliers again. The team has to sure up both lines, so it has to take heavy investment.

It makes sense they passed on the lines last year, they did not have enough draft resources, and Ryan Poles had to create his own by trading down on day three. It also makes sense not to spend in free agency because those players got away for a reason.

Next. 4 dream scenarios for Chicago Bears. dark

Ryan Poles has the assets and the youth is going to be there. They have to leave their first four picks with three trench players on either side of the ball. Two would be the worst case, one would be a nightmare, and none would be cause for firing the GM.
