With the Chicago Bears' preseason truly beginning with their game against the Buffalo Bills this past Saturday, a look at players who may have set themselves behind.

4. Collin Johnson

The star of the Hall of Fame game was Collin Johnson. However, with three games to go, the receiver knew that his status on the roster was not locked up. That is why it is so disappointing to see him in this week's game.

Johnson missed the last practice before the game, so the injury was not disclosed, but it was enough to have him sit out this week. The bit of good news from the entire situation is that no receivers really stepped up in his absence.

However, Tyler Scott, Velus Jones, DeAndre Carter, and others had roles on offense and special teams while Johnson could just sit and watch. Needless to say, it will be vital for Johnson to return to practice as soon as possible because while he did not lose much ground, not gaining ground during these crucial days is just as costly.
