3. Ja’Tyre Carter

Ja’Tyre Carter is a similar story to Larry Borom. The difference is that Ryan Poles drafted Carter, however, Carter went even later in the draft than Borom did. Carter was a lottery ticket from the jump, and it does not appear that there will be a big payout. 

Just like Borom, the injury threw Carter into the lineup. He played both guard spots. Also just like Borom, the Bears went out of their way to make sure he is not the top backup. They added both Ryan Bates and Matt Pryor this offseason. Both will be making the roster and serving as the guard backups ahead of Carter. 

Even Bill Murray is competing with Carter and has arguably looked better this summer. Carter went from a backup to fighting to even be third string. He needs to play well this weekend to avoid sliding off of the roster.
