5 Chicago Bears players firmly on the 53-man roster bubble
4. Bill Murray
The Chicago Bears have to like what they have seen from Bill Murray this offseason.
Murray has played 67 snaps this offseason, with 49 at right guard, and 18 as a left guard. According to PFF, he is the Bears' third-best graded lineman this preseason, behind just Teven Jenkins and Aviante Collins.
Murray has performed better than Ja’Tyre Carter, who made the roster last year and has shown more position flexibility this offseason. Will he make it over Carter? The issue here is that the Bears added so much depth that Carter was not even a lock.
Matt Pryor and Ryan Bates will be the top two interior depth linemen. If the Bears keep a third interior man it would be either Carter or Murray.
