2. Daniel Hardy

Daniel Hardy has been one of the more exciting players in the preseason. The former seventh-round draft pick by the Rams has done everything you could ask for a roster bubble player to push for the roster. He leads the Bears and all of the NFL in pressures and has by far the best pass rush win rate amongst qualified edge rushers.

Beyond his play, the Bears have a weak depth chart, making it easy to see him getting a shot at the roster. Austin Booker just locked up the third edge rusher spot, but no one has won the fourth job.

Jacob Martin has been injured all summer and Dominique Robinson has been struggling while Hardy succeeds. Hardy has a 16% pass rush win rate while Robinson is at 10%. Hardy has an 8.3% run stop rate while Robinson is at 5.9. Overall, Hardy has been the better player.

Do the Bears not want to give up on the draft pick, or is the Jacob Martin injury not as serious as it appears? Those would be the two things keeping Hardy off of the roster.
