2. Daniel Hardy

The only thing that would stop Daniel Hardy from making the practice squad would be him making the actual 53-man roster. Still, as a rookie UDFA he still has an uphill climb to make the initial 53, even if the edge rusher room is not that deep. 

Hardy has had a great preseason. He leads the Bears in pressures with seven, per PFF. Hardy also has 2.5 sacks. He looked good in the Hall of Fame game, which was most fans first glimpse at him. Then, he followed it up with all of his sacks against the Bills. 

Jacob Martin is banged up, and Hardy has looked better than Dominique Robinson. This at least gives him hope at making the roster. Still, the assumption is that Martin will be healthy soon enough, and Robinson is still ahead of Hardy on the depth chart. We will see if this changes, but the expectation is for Hardy to make the practice squad.
