5 free agents on Chicago Bears radar unlikely to make it to free agency

Every year, NFL fans get excited about the list of free agents available, and then every year, by the time free agency hits, most of that list is gone. Teams do not let premier players hit free agency often, and with transition tags, franchise tags, and the time to iron out an extension, a lot of the names you hear floated around today will not be free agents for the Chicago Bears to sign in a few weeks.

With that in mind, which players are the least likely to get away from the team that currently has their rights?

5. New York Giants are not letting Saquon Barkley leave

Maybe some of the worst discussion this offseason has been about the Chicago Bears and Saquon Barkley. This one is funny because it was very unlikely to happen, even if Barkley does hit free agency. While Barkely may still get free because the Giants have a lot to do with him and Daniel Jones, all reports are that they plan to run it back with both of them.

First, they have to handle the Daniel Jones discussion, but all reports are that they plan to bring back Barkley as well. The question is the price and length. If they do not have to tag Daniel Jones, it is as simple as Barkley getting the franchise tag.

If the New York Giants do have to tag Daniel Jones, you can at least wonder about the possibility of Saquon Barkley squirting free. Still, the team committing to Jones only incentivizes them to bring his right-hand man back and run it back. It is so hard to see Saquon Barkley actually making it to free agency.
